The Town of Lake Lure has announced target dates for the reopening of Lake Lure following Hurricane Helene.
May 1, 2026 is the target date for the reopening of Lake Lure for public use, which means our lake activities will be available for summer 2026! We will continue to utilize the giant slip n' slide, target sports, and some of the other activity elements we introduced during summer 2025, but we are excited to enjoy beautiful Lake Lure once again with our campers.

Camp Lurecrest is a Christian youth residential summer camp in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina on Lake Lure. From September through April, Camp Lurecrest hosts retreat groups from churches, schools, and ministries. Our mission is to love God, love others, and make disciples of Jesus Christ through camping ministries.
