The Narrows camp is named for one of the Southeast's most prestigious steep creek kayaking destinations. Located on the Green River, The Narrows is full of big drops and surrounded by enormous rocky boulders.
As of April 8th, The Narrows has spaces available for boys and a moderate waitlist for girls.
Guest Speaker
Stephen Ray serves as a Bible teacher at Emmaus Ministries in Orlando FL. Before moving to Florida Stephen attended Oakland University in Rochester Michigan. There, he engaged in several on-campus ministries. Each summer of his college career, Stephen worked on summer staff here at camp Lurecrest. Stephen has a great love for ministry and loves seeing the Gospel advance in the hearts of students. Stephen graduated with a BA in Communication and now travels and speaks to youth and young adults.

Camp Lurecrest is a Christian youth residential summer camp in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina on Lake Lure. From September through April, Camp Lurecrest hosts retreat groups from churches, schools, and ministries. Our mission is to love God, love others, and make disciples of Jesus Christ through camping ministries.
