UPDATED as of April 30: Monthly COVID-19 Update - April 2021

Dan Bragdon

Our staff is getting so excited about the camp season starting in just 2 months! We would like to update you this month with a couple of details for your camper’s week with us in relation to COVID-19.

As stated in previous months, a negative COVID-19 test will be required at Check-in for every camper. We have created a detailed Check-In Form that will be required to streamline this process. The form is included in its entirety below, and here are the high level Check-In Form details:

  • Each camper must provide documentation of a negative COVID-19 diagnostic test or a positive COVID-19 antibodies test given within the 5 days prior to check-in. Alternatively, a completed vaccine card would also be accepted
  • Campers agree to follow CDC recommendations in their days leading up to camp, especially after testing

Face Masks - Update 4/30/21

After Governor Cooper's announcement this week that the mask mandate will be lifted for most outdoor activities, our need for facemasks at camp has decreased. Because most of camp takes place in the spacious outdoors, most of the camp day will be mask-free. Here’s a current summary of when masks will be used at camp:

-Masks will be required on the bus, if opt for bus transportation

-Masks will be required in the dining hall anytime they are not seated at their tables

-Masks will be required in the infirmary

-Masks will be worn in chapel

As always, do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have!
