At Camp Lurecrest, ministry to our staff is just as important as ministry to campers.
The overall responsibility of the Camp Lurecrest male and female counselors is to serve as a Christian role model for all Camp Lurecrest campers.
The overall responsibility of the Camp Lurecrest Outdoor Adventure Team is to run and facilitate high and low elements.
The overall responsibility of the Camp Lurecrest kitchen staff is to assist with all camp meals.
The overall responsibility of the Camp Lurecrest Lifeguard is to supervise and ensure a safe environment at the camp’s pool and waterfront.
The overall responsibility of Camp Lurecrest Male Cross-Trainer is to assist in cleaning up dishes following meals, keep the dish room clean, and to learn and participate in all aspects of camp. Male Cross-Trainers also train in grounds maintenance, cabin devotion, camp activities, and cabin life.

Camp Lurecrest is a Christian youth residential summer camp in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina on Lake Lure. From September through April, Camp Lurecrest hosts retreat groups from churches, schools, and ministries. Our mission is to love God, love others, and make disciples of Jesus Christ through camping ministries.
