Ron and Judy Smith assumed leadership of the first School of Biblical Studies (SBS) in Kona, Hawaii in 1981. Since then the SBS has multiplied to over 50+ schools worldwide.
Ron and Judy presently serve as encouragers to the SBS students and staff and continue to teach in the schools. They also help by providing resource materials and advice.

Andrae Braun

Andrae and his wife Jessica pioneered and have led the SBS in Turner Valley, Canada for 9 years. He is an excellent teacher and disciple of Jesus who has a real heart for his generation to be captivated by the God of the Word.

Sean Ellis

Sean comes to us from the YWAM ministry in Lakeside, Montana. He is currently the leader of the SBS there, in his 3rd year of leadership there. Previous to that, he led the SBS in Kona, Hawaii for 10 years. He is known among past students as a human bible dictionary, but beyond his knowledge, he has an incredible love for Jesus and drive for his students to be launched out into missions around the world, and for the body of Christ internationally to be equipped with a ministry in the Word. Sean is married and has 4 children.

Scott Pitts

Scott is originally a Canadian transplanted to Shelby, NC. He has a long history with Youth With a Mission, both in Montana and in England, where he has spent time staffing and leading the SBS in those locations. In this time, Scott met his wife Carla, who hails from Shelby, and they have 3 children. He has a real heart for people to be trained in the word, making lots of time for the ESBS out of his schedule as a carpenter. We really appreciate Scott's sacrificial willingness to help and to invest in our students.

Mark & Dawn Masucci

Mark and Dawn have been involved with Youth With a Mission for about 20 years, in a variety of ministry and settings. Most of their years have been involved with the SBS in Montana, where they spent 12 years leading the SBS and mentoring their staff and students. They are both pursuing further education in Vancouver, Canada, where Dawn just received her Masters in Servant Leadership in a Cross-cultural setting at Trinity Western University, and Mark is working to complete his Masters of Biblical Studies at Regent Seminary.

Chris & Lindsay Lautsbaugh

Chris and Lindsay come from South Africa, where they lead the SBS program at YWAM Muizenberg. Prior to that, they have led the SBS in Montana for two years, and got married during their time there. They have 2 children, Garrett and Thabo (recently adopted from South Africa). Chris is originally from Pennsylvania, and Lindsay from Washington St.

Bryan & Holly Norton
Books - TBA Bryan and Holly Norton served as teachers during ESBS' inaugural school year. Furthermore, both have worked with Camp Lurecrest Ministries in many capacities for over a decade. Bryan and Holly both hold B.A.'s in English and are graduates of SBS in Lakeside, Montana. After teaching the inductive method abroad, Bryan and Holly returned to Lake Lure to help build and establish the ESBS program at Camp Lurecrest. They now reside in Charlotte, NC with their two daugthers.
