A Foundation for Life
ESBS believes it plays a very important role in the lives of students who wish to attend college, or who are currently enrolled in college. We passionately believe that developing a strong, biblical worldview and belief system is an essential foundation for life, and is important for anyone entering college or the workforce.
When do I attend ESBS?
There is never a wrong time to attend ESBS. Whether you are just about to graduate from high school, halfway through or finished with college, or already working, a biblical foundation for your life will greatly enhance whatever academic and/or career paths you plan to pursue.
We strongly encourage recent high school graduates to attend ESBS before beginning college; ESBS is a great “gap year” program for those wanting further life direction and discipleship before entering their college years. We believe that a strong biblical foundation will serve to make your college experience more focused, meaningful, and biblically-aware. Those holding four-year and advanced degrees, as well as seminary and Bible degrees, are also encouraged to attend.
Can I get college credit for ESBS? Students who wish to receive credit for their ESBS coursework must pursue such credit on an individual basis. ESBS is not a university-accredited institution. No college credit automatically transfers from ESBS to colleges and universities. Historically, however, many of YWAM’s SBS students have received undergraduate-level college credit for their SBS coursework by simply showing their work to the admissions and/or advisor departments at their respective colleges. ESBS plans to pursue relationships with colleges and universities with the goal of establishing credit-transfer programs. |
