Camp Lurecrest is located approximately two hours west of Charlotte, North Carolina. Lake Lure is hidden away among the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains just 26 miles from Asheville.

From Charlotte: Take I-85 South to Highway 74 West. Turn right onto Hwy 9 North (exit 167) and go 12 miles to the stop sign at the junction of Hwy 64/74A. Turn right onto Hwy 64/74A East and go 1 mile. Turn left onto Charlotte Drive, just past the Golf Course and Fire Dept. We are 1/8 mile up Charlotte Drive, first driveway on the left. (Approximately 2 hours.)

From Hickory, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Raleigh/Durham: From I-40, take Exit 103 in Morganton. Turn left onto Hwy 64 West (for approx. 20 miles). Go straight at the intersection of Hwys 64, 74A and 221. You are now on Hwy 64/74A. After approx. 17 miles, you will see your first view of Lake Lure (at Point of View Restaurant). Our road is 2/10ths of a mile further. Turn right at Charlotte Drive (just before the Fire Dept.). We are 1/8 mile up Charlotte Drive on the left. (Greensboro approximately 3 hours/Raleigh approximately 4 hours.)

From the South Carolina I-26 Corridor/Greenville-Spartanburg/Columbia: Take I-26 West toward North Carolina. Exit at Exit #67 in Columbus, NC (the first exit in North Carolina). Turn right onto Highway 108 East, and proceed 4.7 miles to Highway 9 North. Turn left and drive 9 miles until you reach the stop sign at the junction of Highway 64/74A. Lake Lure will be directly in front of you. Turn right onto Hwy 64/74A East and go 1 mile. Turn left onto Charlotte Drive, just past the Golf Course and Fire Dept. We are 1/8 mile up Charlotte Drive, first driveway on the left. (Approximately 2 hours.)

From Asheville:

From East Asheville Interstate 240 East - From Interstate 240 East, exit onto Highway 74A East at Exit #9 (Bat Cave). Follow 74A to Gerton and then Chimney Rock. Continue on 74A East around the lake until you pass Lake Lure Municiple Golf Course on your right (approx. 12-15 minutes from Bat Cave.) Just past the Golf Course and Fire Dept (Fire Dept. on the left), turn left onto Charlotte Drive. We are 1/8 mile up Charlotte Drive, first driveway on the left.

From East Asheville Interstate 40 - From Interstate 40, exit onto Highway 74A East at Exit #53A. Follow 74A to Gerton and then into the Chimney Rock.
Continue on 74A East around the lake until you pass Lake Lure Municiple Golf Course on your right (approx. 12-15 minutes from Bat Cave.) Just past the Golf Course and Fire Dept (Fire Dept. on the left), turn left onto Charlotte Drive. We are 1/8 mile up Charlotte Drive, first driveway on the left.
From West Asheville - Take Interstate 26 East toward Hendersonville. At Exit #49A, exit onto Highway 64 East. It is approximately 12 miles to Bat Cave. Turn right onto 74A East, which will take you through Chimney Rock and into Lake Lure. Continue on 74A East around the lake until you pass Lake Lure Municiple Golf Course on your right (approx. 12-15 minutes from Bat Cave.) Just past the Golf Course and Fire Dept (Fire Dept. on the left), turn left onto Charlotte Drive. We are 1/8 mile up Charlotte Drive, first driveway on the left.
