The purpose of our Camper Sponsorship program is to enable children to come to Camp who normally wouldn't be able to because of financial need.
Camp tuition sponsorships are available for those needing financial assistance and are granted on an “as-need” basis, at the discretion of our Executive Director, Camp Director and Board of Trustees, with consideration given to the order in which the requests are received.
Depending on the circumstances and available sponsorship funding, sponsorship levels of $125, $250, or $375 (and in some cases, the full $450) may be granted, such that the registering party is responsible for the remaining camp tuition plus the camper’s “camp bank” spending money and the bus fare (if needed). It is our board’s desire, as unto God, that no child be kept from attending camp for financial reasons.
Camp Lurecrest is able to offer these scholarships because of individuals giving out of willing heart in response to the call of God. Individuals give by contributing to our Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament or by giving regular donations or one-time gifts. If you wish to sponsor a child in 2008, you can do so for $450 by check or credit card. (You can also provide an extra amount for the camper’s spending money. The spending money allows them to purchase snacks at the “Ranch House“ as well as craft items at the “Craft Shack.”)
