Camp Lurecrest Ministries

PURPOSE

Our desire for our 60th Anniversary Banquet is for the many members of the Camp Lurecrest Family to gather together and celebrate the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father to us at Camp Lurecrest over these past 60 years. It will be a time of jubilant celebration, reconnecting/renewing past friendships, great food, and joyful worship!  Furthermore, it will be an exciting opportunity to catch up with Meryle Garr, Alfred Garr III, Ken Helser, Brett Ray and many others!

November 7, 2008 - 6:00pm

Renaissance Suites Hotel - Charlotte, NC             

(Located off of Billy Graham Parkway, beside the now demolished Charlotte Coliseum). 

COST

There is no charge to attend this banquet. 

However, due to limited space, registration is required for all participants.

It is the desire of the Board of Camp Lurecrest that no one should be unable to attend due to their current financial situation.  This is a celebration of God's goodness, and we want all to come and celebrate what great things God has done at Camp Lurecrest.

We are expecting around 750+ individuals to attend this banquet celebration, with Camp Lurecrest family members from past and present, traveling far and wide, celebrating the great work of Christ at Camp Lurecrest over 60 years!  Conducting such a grand affair is at no small expense!  However, due to generous gifts from several individuals, the cost of this banquet have been covered.  We are so grateful!

For those who are able and desirious to contribute to what God is doing at Camp Lurecrest, there will be a time when you can do so; however, this is truly a celebration, and there is no obligation to give.

WHO'S INVITED?

The purpose of this event is to celebrate the great works of Christ at Camp Lurecrest because of God's great grace and faithfulness to His people.  Furthermore, it is a time to reconnect with those who've been a part of the ministry at Camp Lurecrest over these past 60 years.  Therefore, we are seeking to have the halls filled with anyone who has been a part of Camp Lurecrest in any way over the past 60 years - that means alumni campers, parents of campers, alumni staff, current staff, and individuals who've supported Camp Lurecrest in prayer, physical labor, and financial support.

• As this program has been created and designed primarily for an adult audience, we respectfully request that you register only children 16 years old or older.

• Please note that there will be no childcare provided. 

Please invite any 'Friends' and 'Family" of Camp Lurecrest!  We may have lost contact with many people you may know. Help us spread the word!

ATTIRE

Attire for this occasion will be dressy-casual.

ONE MORE THING....

Many individuals who live close by are also planning on making a night of it by staying at the Renaissance! Meryle Garr will be hosting a large buffet breakfast in the main dining hall at 9am for all who want to participate (breakfast is optional at $11.95/person).  Or, you can drive back to the hotel Saturday morning to join us for the breakfast!
